Anyone else think Nick Otieno is well overpriced?

Tonight Commonwealth Bantamweight title contest between Jamie McDonnell and Nick Otieno at the Hilsborough Leisure Centre.

Just looked at the betting and im amazed the Otieno is 7/1 with sporting bet. I was expecting much lower and its a great bet. He has been in with some good fighters.

His last 2 defeats were against unbeaten fighters who he took the distance, both away from home. I have seen him a few times he has a compact style, moves quite well and is very useful in the early rounds. Expect him to be busy early in the fight.

I dont think its a great fight for McDonnell as its a relatively unknown name on these shores but a very live and dangerous opponent.

How do you see this one going?
Will be nice to see Nigel Wright on the under card also

I agree, this guy is no Afrobum!!!!!!! Fought in a couple of WBC eliminators, doesn't say much, but he's been the 10 and 12 round distance so will be there to work if nothing else :deal

Anytime he's stepped up he's been beaten and beaten convincingly but in saying that McDonnell has never greatly impressed me and as Flea said he's gone the distance with likes of Z Gorres so he's decent and if wants to make a fight of this he can.

I think this will be a hard fought fight but McDonnell's workrate will see him through on the scorecards with maybe some rough patches in the middle.

He isn't an afrobum but he has no chance of beating Mcdonnell. Mismatch.

I wouldnt say it was a mismatch. Mcdonnell takes time to warm into a fight and Otieno starts quickly. He should bag the first couple of rounds and then things will be interesting. Jamoye gave Mcdonnell some problems early on in the last fight and from what i have seen Otieno is a better boxer then Jamoye.

Granted Mcdonnell should be the favorite but 1/12 shot he aint

Otieno will not give mcdonnell problems and is nowhere near as good as jamoye.
