anyone else think the Marquez - Pacquiao undercard is pretty weak?

It does seem weak...although I think Luevano-Jaendeng could make for a fun little undercard scrap.

Only guess I have is that they don't want anything overshadowing the main event....which should carry the majority of this dreck.

honestly the way the sport is today, Pac vs Marquez rematch not being PPV is inconceivable.

The main bout doesn't need any undercards. It can stand on it's own. PPV's features the main bout not the supporting events.

    But I have to agree . . . the undercard is . . . trash.:D

Exactly....you're talking two guys who have unfinished business stemming from four years ago in an action packed battle.

You probably lose a lot of money if you don't put it on PPV.

The undercard is pretty bad. As others have said though; the main event can sell it alone. Otherwise I am REALLY looking forward to seeing Mares completely outclass and tko Gabi. Mares is a future star imo

I have yet to see Abner Mares so that shouldbe interesting. Gabi I know from getting KO'd by Vic Darchinyan.

I really wish David Diaz was NOT on this card...I think most of the undercard will flow well then Diaz will come on and suck it up.

I think there are two good fighters on the undercard, Mares and Luevano but Im pretty sure theyre gonna take it like cake....easy money for them

You will like Mares. Nacho has done well with him - to be expected though. Throws textbook punches, fast, great stamina, good chin (so far), awesome counterpunching. Fantastic prospect that people should really check out on this undercard if they have not seen him yet.....or even if they have seen him I guess

Sounds like your typical Nacho Beristain fighter...which is a good thing.

Thanks for the lil scouting report, Hopefully he'll stand out on a lackluster looking undercard.

You know how old he is? Is he a late bloomer (sort of like Gamboa)?
