Anyone else think the result of the virtual fight between Ali and Marciano was BS?

    Ali was undefeated in 1969.

Marciano would have stopped him earlier in the fight. The computer was pure BS.

Nope, a plane crash is what caused his death.

I predicted it to end that way before I heard of the computer fight..so the computer thinks like me, therefore it must be right.:good

Atthe time it was made his best win was Sonny Liston. He built most of his legacy after this computer simulation was made.

Ali had huge trouble with Frazier and Norton, and Marciano is similar to both of them. He stalks his prey like Frazier, but he is also very careful to stay out of reach of the jab, like Norton. Marciano had a better chin and more power than Frazier and Norton, and could have hurt Ali more. I think Marciano would have won a unanimous decision, because Ali also had a great chin.

Marciano fought lots of fast, defensive boxers who are similar to Ali, like Ezzard Charles, Harry "Kid" Matthews and Roland LaStarza. Look at the videos: these guys posed no problems to Marciano. On the other hand, Ali had trouble with fighters who were similar to Marciano: he scraped a difficult win over a shot Earnie Shavers, lost to prime Frazier, then beat an overweight Frazier in Manila. Lost to Norton, then won dubious decisions in rematches.

Garbage. Marciano hadn't seen anyone with the speed and sharpness of Ali, and Ali had beaten powerful greats Frazier, Foreman, Norton. And let's not forget. All of his fights with Frazier occured after his prime after he had been exiled from boxing. Marciano wasn't skilled enough, and just too small to stand a chance.
