Round 1 10-10 Round 2 - 10-9 Frampton Round 3 - 10-9 Frampton Round 4 - 10-9 Frampton Round 5 - 10-9 Frampton Round 6 - 10-9 Frampton Round 7 - 10-10 Round 8 - 10-9 Frampton Round 9 - 10-9 Quigg Round 10 - 10-9 Frampton Round 11- 10-9 Quigg Round 12 - 10-9 Frampton A fair few of the rounds were close and I feel like I've been fairly kind to Scott with that card. Frampton a clear winner in my book. Even Gallagher had Quigg well down after 7. It doesn't matter that he tried to backtrack after, we all heard what he said.
I eventually folded and watched it. It was OK at the beginning but then Nick Halling started mentioning controversy and that he didn't want controversy in the result- it was bizarre. It is definitely time to give Halling and Watt a demotion and get in a decent play by play guy- Andy Scott is fine. Have Froch/Smith/McCrory as colour and Gary Lockett/Chris Sanigar in the trainer role occasionally. Sky's commentary is worse than Boxnation and even behind Channel 5.
Watt didn't have a clue on how to score that fight. Halling wasn't that bad tonight (a bit biased in the 10th and 11th) agree with his scorecard though
Watts commentary was a bit off but I was sure he was going to have it in frampton favour by what he was saying he kept saying in them early rounds that frampton is taking the initiave ect so was shocked by his card
chill Watt was clueless. He would probably score fights better if he wasn't doing commentary. I've never been one to bash Watt but he was off tonight. Reminded me of when he scored Porter v Brook.
The punditry was beyond repetitive this evening from the whole sky team. I never want to hear the term 'phoney war' or 'catch fire' be used in a fight commentary again.
