Many of those boxers conned the public into buying tickets only to be served up with dross.

Burns v Crawford and Bellew v Clev are 2 of the most boring fights seen for years.

At least we saw some real World class skills from Crawford. But not only was Bellew vs Cleverly boring, the skill levels on show was like something you would see on Prize Fighter, not the headline event on a PPV card.

He achieved a lot in a short time as an amateur. Didn't deserve the gold in 2012 but that's hardly his fault. Excellent prospect with loads of potential to improve - no need to rush him. That's not to say his comp doesn't need to get better. Can't improve without being tested.

Yea he's no Tyson Fury from London winning the lonsdale.

More like Audley winning the European.

Boxing needs to hype fighters or they will not generate the money. That really is the end of the matter.

If you don't like that then you are following the wrong sport. Go subscribe to cribbage weekly or something. Just stop whining, children..

It is what it is what it is. And it won't stop because you get your panties in a bunch about it.

he's openly admitted he's a bit of an animal who try's to play nice. In one interview he mentioned some bloke staring at him so he wanted to go over to him and have a go.....only to realise the block recognised him and was just a fan

As soon as someone gets under his skin like a chisora type there will be plenty of needle and you will see more of his real character probably

Burns v Crawford was only boring because it was so one sided. Ricky didn't even put up a fight

If you're sick of Joshua, the hype he's getting and the way he carries himself, I urge you never to move to America or you won't know what's hit you when HBO and Showtime are telling you a club level fighter like Broner is the truth.

As much as an idiot broner is, and hypejob at least the man entertains and has been in the ring with bodies.

Yes he's being babied, yes we as fans are getting exploited by a ridiculously slow burn (really reminds me of Chavez Jnr's early career) but Joshua has a good look and good potential

Looking forward to seeing him getting tested

If he can prove himself at the very least national level, he will bring in fans. Casual sports fans both guys and girls want to see combat athletes who look the part like Joshua (look at Brock Lesnar in the UFC), not skinny fat lanky twots even if talented like Fury

Joshua has been very entertaining so far and has fought better competition than Broner had ten fights in

    You sir, are an idiot

His opposition is weaker than Tyson Fury's was in 10 fights. Evander Holyfield won a legitimate world title in his 12th fight. Stop using the ''better competition in his first 10 fights'' argument so selectively to suit your own arguments.

Weaker? The only fighter you could argue was better (and even then it's a tough sell) is McDermott and everyone knows Tyson lost that fight anyway.

He used Broner as an example of someone who has fought live bodies, not exactly a fair comparison when Broner has been pro for years. Considering Joshua has only been pro for a year he's fought excellent opposition.

Furys resume stronger after ten fights? You serious?
