Problem is he just talks, doesn't do anything else. Doesn't line up fights, doesn't get into shape, nothing. The talk becomes old very quickly.
He does have some recent accomplishments though, as he is beating Khan's ass as undisputed twitter champion and puts Obelix to shame as it comes to eating wild boars.
Love him or hate him he is the man that beat the man. I have doubts that he will ever return but with all the attention on the heavyweight scene since Joshua has become a huge draw means as long as the division is getting attention so will Fury. Fact is Joshua/Fury is the biggest money fight that can be made right now at heavyweight. You've got the media darling in Joshua and the outsider, villain with Fury, casuals and the media will eat that up like Stiverne at an all you can eat buffet.
Don't get me wrong, i would like to see him get in shape and return. But how many times has he promised to do just that and then disappear after a week of training? Only to resurface when another fighters accomplishments seem to bother him.
It's all quite funny, he doesn't take up too much of my time. Anyway he is more interesting out of the ring than in it.
I think it would be a good therapeutic start if he posted a video showing his daily eating consumption habits. I'm sure he must consume 7000 calories + and lord only knows how many grams of fat.
I wonder what his weight range has been in the past year. His heaviest must have been well over 300lbs.
He must of been packing on around 10 +lbs a month. That's bloody outrageous. If he doesn't change his habits we could be seeing him on my 600pound life.
I'm a bit tired of him announcing his retirement then completing ignoring the fact he said it. Would like to see him back though as he offers the HW division a much needed naturally skilled boxer and fascinating, if erratic, personality. Fighting "lets go champ" as a return fight would be perfect.
Lol.. Hopefully its coming down. When he retires though he's going to be a mess weight wise ! He might be on the show then !
