Anyone else watching the JCC jr card?

He called it decently. I think he just expected more out of Junior once he realized how little the opponent had to offer back.

 

Ha yea I meant is it possible in REALITY not physically. Boxrec lists camacho at 5'11 HA!

I only caught the last 3 rounds and I thought Chavez Jr. looked much better than in his last fight. Boxing and moving a lot more. It was pretty evident that he doesn't know how to go for the kill when he gets the other guy hurt, or maybe he was trying to box and learn than finish the fight quick.

His body did look more solid than ever and that right hand that caught the Italian was vicious. He needs more defense though, his jab looks better but its still not up there where it should be yet. At the very least he was forced to fight with his right hand this time than go left hook trigger happy.

 

He was probably proud as hell that he got his thunder thighs under the light heavyweight limit.

chavez jr looked alot better, he said he wanted to silence the critics about him not being able to box.....****, my boy cotto did it against gomez, why can't jr do it against this dude....

some want him to ko everybody, some want him to box.....atleast now we know he can do both and he better fight a bigger threat by the end of this year....

i noticed to that chavez jr seems to be getting a bit bored with his career...i really think he wants that breakthrough fight already.....

Chavez did say that he looked to box throughout to silence the critics who were saying he did'nt have boxing skills......

I thought that the commentators tonight which included Wally Mathew and Chicanito Hernandez, went overboard to the point of sounding silly, somehow trying to show they were'nt going to be biased in favor of JC Chavez.

After the first round feelout round was pretty close, Chavez imo handily boxed and won every round.
....I was dumbfounded to hear Wally Mathew and another guy on the telecast point out that they had Loriga winning 3 rounds.:huh

.....in any regards the commentating crew criticized Chavez Jr. for not putting the pressure on and finishing the show....
From my point of view, I've been waiting for Chavez Jr. to lay back a little bit and experiment with his footwork and boxing skills
.....an overmatched opponent like Loriga who has decent skills but does'nt have power worth a lick, is exactly the type of opponent to experiment with.

I thought Chavez looked solid, he was patient, and used his distance quite well......
......and I agree with you Freddy, Chavez Jr. is getting bored, and he wants to start fighting names that people recognize.
Camacho Jr. who Chavez Jr. eagerly called into the ring with him would be a good start!

it depends what you like....

imo, he looked hella good, and showed some solid defense against a pretty good pressure/inyourface type of fighter.....

kept his patience and never got frustrated
