first off, its the far better fight in terms of action. but more importantly to me, this would be kinda like redemption. de la hoya got to twice beat up on an old chavez.............and i still wanna see him suffer for that. and cotto is just about the closest thing to a young chavez we have right now. as often pointed out: he doesnt just beat you, he beats you up. ask greg haugen if that reminds him of anyone:hey this is the fight i soooooo badly wanna see. and i mean real badly. there was a post about fights you´d "give your left nutsack to see" just on here. well, i wouldnt wanna do that. but i would cut of one of my toes to see it. or my little pinky finger.
i would want to see it more then the mayweather fight. but i would still not pay to see an out of prime fighter who i used to enjoy watching get messed up on ppv. plus Oscar does not deserve to be making or getting fights like this. although this would be a good last fight for him to have in december.
well let's see... doing a simple math... mayweather vs odlh = borefest odlh vs cotto = might be interesting ... but, cancelling odlh... mayweather vs. cotto = fight of the year?
mayweather is just too good a boxer/defensive technitian to ever have a "fight of the year" type of fight imo.
i was hoping cotto can tag mayweather with a solid shot that could make the fight interesting and hopefully make mayweather slug it out with him. :bbb:hey
Yeah we've already seen Oscar vs Mayweather so I think most fans would prefer to see Oscar vs Cotto. Oscar still has enough left to give Cotto problems.
Cotto would KO DLH inside of 7 rounds. At least you'll get 12 rounds of boxing with Mayweather - and Oscar knows he has to press and make Floyd fight so it has a prayer of being interesting. I think Cotto might just embarass DLH.
