    Here are some differences,

Belgecham was just coming off a defeat to Lee and was not worthy of an EBU title shot. :good

McCloskey ko'd his opponent, Barker got a gift decision. :good

Barker was ridiculously hyped, McCloskey was not. :good

The main comparison I see is that they're both distinctly average.

    Here's the similarities

Both got hit a little too easily.

    Both were disapointing.

Both proved they are probably not going to win a world title

but.... one his a hype job and the other isnt:lol:

and for the record that was not a gift but a very close fight as the mcCloskey fight would have been had it gone the distance, if not for Lauri's silly mistake:good

Yes it was a gift decision and how can McCloskey be a hypejob when there was hardly any hype surrounding him? You're clutching at straws Dom :good

No way was that a gift although i cant argue if anyone scored it the other way, what i guess im trying to imply is it was a similar performance from two fighters at a similar level, so why the contridicting posts.

Mccloskey had a bad night at the office but even if it had gone the distance i think he'd done enough to win by a couple of rounds whereas barker who i like really got dragged into a horrible brutal war and was lucky to get the decision IMO and was really hanging on by the skin of his teeth .
