i have 4 nice scars on my face from boxing and mma and have a boxers nose and wear it with pride. Chicks dig scars.
Since I got knocked out, I have been permanently post-concussive: headaches, dizziness. Going from invincible to punch-drunk only took one single fight. so yeah, I have second thoughts. I am 32, so it won't be long before I am done for good anyway. don't end up like me.
I'm sorry to hear that. I do doubt it was from one fight though. Usually stuff like that happens over-time, and kind of builds up. Although yeah, sometimes it only takes that one punch. I have a feeling it came from years of being punched. How long have you boxed for? Were you am or pro?
I'm sorry to hear that. When did the fight happen? After i suffered my knockout i felt sick for a whole week. Like my body systems just collapsed. The strange thing is, i am still thinking about fighting, can't let it go atsch
I 2nd guess it all the time, especially before a fight "Do I really want to do this as a career?" "My life would be so much happier without all this pressure," but I always find myself back in the gym the next day. What's life without risks?
i second this, there's alot of other stuff i could be doing but hitting something is way too much fun:bbb
For the Cus Damatto quote very true but everyone gets hit, but thats what makes boxing a sport for the brave! Go watch a Pernell Whittaker inteview, he is one punch drunked boxer. No disrespect to the champ.
