Anyone ever won big money on fight outcomes?

I'm not anything approaching a big roller but I do bet on fights and have been for quite a while now. I enjoy it, maddening as the boxing game is sometimes with it's unpredictably and oddities.

 

Won over a thousand dollars on Rigo over Donaire, won good money on both Tony Thompson/Price matches and both Solis/Thompson matches. Called 16 to 1 underdog Aaron Martinez to upset Devon Alexander... Had Adrian Granados at 9 to 1 over Amir Imar and made over a thousand dollars there.

A lot of the time I'm not picking any big underdog to hit but doing things like parlaying probable results together. Several weeks ago I had a parlay of Kovalev, Bivol and Uzcategui to all win their bouts on the same day by stoppage.

I'm drawing a blank on other good wins I've had over the years at the moment. I recently took a break from gambling for about a year. I can come back with some other good ones if you're interested.

My friend bet $7000 on Starling in the second fight with Mark Breland. He said some very interesting things when Starling would be laying on the ropes doing nothing, wept in relief at the draw and passionately hated Marlon afterwards.

 

I can't imagine having money on Starling and watching him just do the Starling Stomp for 15 rounds...

 

I had heard the words before but my friend put them together in some new and creative combinations.

 

I remember having Chisora over Malik Scott rounds 1-6... right at the very end of round 6, after a tentative fight with almost nothing thrown, Chisora wobbles Scott against the ropes, at which point the knocked down Scott completely flubs the count and is counted out. I shat a brick of relief and joy...!

 

Won a few hundred on Tarver in his rematch against Glen Johnson, but that’s the most I’ve ever bet on a fight. Any reliable internet sites for laying bets on fights? (just curious...)

I mean, no. Never received any income in this manner.

 

Intertops, 5dimes and Bovada are the holy trinity if you're in the US, in my opinion.

 

Yeah Bovada seems pretty solid.
You can even bet on the round and the outcome.
