I'm a huge fan of Shane and actually remember first reading about him in Ring Magazine in the nineties. The article was called "Wait Til You Get a Taste of this Sugar".

I kept an eye on him as a lightweight all the way through to the present day. I have to admit I thought Margarito would beat him because Shane looked so poor against Mayorga. Not for the first time I was wrong and I was over the moon with the victory.

The thing is Margarito looked horrible, had clearly been cheating for a large portion of his career and was easier to hit than a maize bag!

My question is should we be concerned for Mosley against a young live opponent like Berto and is Shane and his fans over confident?

Berto has a chance but I think Shane will stop him actually. Also, I don't think Shane looked bad against Mayorga as much as Mayorga looked better than I'd seen him in years. That was a very good version of Mayorga I think.

Maybe a bit of both but I agree, Berto has a decent chance of pulling the upset!

AL Haymon is not stupid and he wouldn't put him vs Mosley if he knew he didn't have a chance

Speed + power + chin + experience = very difficult package for any top guy at 147.

Totally fair point. I give Berto mixed reviews and thought Luis Collazo (spelling) beat him but Collazo is very under rated!

Yeah, and Mayorga showed with Forrest an awkward guy may prove very difficult for even the elite fighters.

Berto faced ONE live opponent in his career and most people thought he lost it. Thats how good he is. And it was the same opponent who was outclassed by Mosley.

    Yep!

Styles make fights though and Collazo was injured against Mosley which hampered his performance.

Don't get me wrong my pick is Shane but think Berto may do a lot better than what people think!

What has Andre Berto done to lead you or anybody else with 1 ounce of a boxing brain into thinking that Shane is in big trouble , or as you put it , fear for him ????????????????? :huh:huh

Nobody said Big Trouble I just said that it could be a rougher fighter fight than most people think.

Berto is young, strong, brave and has skills. I'm a huge fan of Mosley and I did pick him to win despite my concerns.

It's maybe worth remembering you and anyone else with "1 ounce of a boxing brain" that Mayorga gave Shane hell two fights back and Mosley is almost 40.

put it this way, if mosley fought everyone berto fought even without being prime, he would beat all of them, berto is fast and so is mosley, berto hits hard and so does mosley, berto is not crafty but mosley can be. over all thgeres nothing berto can bring which will ruin mosley so theres nothing to fear.

If mosley loses then he loses a decision and again **** happens and there nothing to fear. personally i think its gona be brutal for berto becuz hes gona taste somining he's only witnessed on tv

    Totally got you guys.

Maybe fear is an over statement. I don't mean that Berto is Ivan Drago. Fear as in a loss or a very poor performance.

    Sorry!
