well, i have respect for any man who gets in the ring and gives a go....and he did against rogan...
it didnt work out for him as a pro, or as we were led to believe it would...i have no problem with him really..

    No.

He made millions before he even achieved **** as a professional. I don't feel too sorry for millionaires.

    Excellent post.

    I'd echo those sentiments.

First Briton to win an Olympic gold medal in the Superheavyweight division since the competition's inception in 1984. He was also the first Briton to take Olympic gold in 32 years and the first at the highest weight class since 1920.

He brought it all on himself when he said he was going to be champion within two years of turning pro. Has he no idea of how many boxers turn pro? Then the number that reach domestic, then european, then world level? He was disrespectful from the beginning and the humbling defeats he's had have done nothing to dispell that. Dont feel a little bit sorry for him. He's made his money. Now retire.

Not in the slightest, he's an idiot who's wasted the chance that millions of other people would love. He's a tit.

don't feel sorry for him one single bit.

he milked that bbc deal for all it was worth.

because of his age he should have stepped up in class much quicker.

and stepped up while he was on the beeb.

his first real meaningful fight was 4 and a half yrs after he turned pro ffs.

    his attitude stinks.

and not just in the ring.

that post fight williams (2nd fight) interview was just so f*cking arrogant and cocky. he was banging on like he'd just knocked out king kong. :patsch

Who said he fought weak opposition too long? he fought Dominic Negas in his third pro fight and Negas was destined to become the new Lennox Lewis had dodgy dealings not muddled the waters(well, according to Danny Dire anyway!!)

His view on himself and the fact that he is'nt going to get anywhere with his career, makes me think it will hang round his neck long after he's retired, as you say !

He took 1 million quid of our money and did nothing with it. He gave it large then never backed it up. Who remembers his boast of being British Champ and beating Danny Williams in 5 fights!

Audley should have stuck to the traditional route and he would have gone down as a respectable British, Commonwealth and maybe European champ. He tried to become a world champ without fighting real fights.

I've supported Audley and I still would. If he really wanted to be the best why did he only sometimes come in amazing shape and looked really ripped. Why did he only sometimes give us Williams rematch performances.

I'm not sure the hunger was ever really there. If Harrison fought like he talked then he'd be an all time great.
