All of that is true, but it doesn't change the fact that he was on roids at the time.

So, it's only **** heads the rules apply to?

thats what I was thinking. I really like Mosley, but he shouldnt get a free pass, and as far as Im concerned that second fight with DLH should be a NC (i thought he lost anyway)

    Don't think so man...

I would attibute that to his dietary approach and the issue of water retention. Also the added weight between fights.

It just shows how simply being a nice guy can let you get away with a lot of things that assholes would get nonstop **** for.

Well, that is a tough one. Change it to a NC? Why not? That's what happened with Toney v Ruiz.

Problem is, Mosley didn't test positive. So that may not work.

Yeah, and neither did Marion Jones apparently - on record.

Nor - on the record - does any other athlete caught using drugs. Every single one of them blames their trainer, their manager, etc. It's always "He just said take this, it's a supplement".

Ignorance is no excuse. Hasn't been for many other athletes, why should it be for Mosley. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see Mosley get punished, but why is he exempt?

There's a big difference between outright denying you took anything and admitting you took something (didn't know what it was) that was administered by a trainer.

In the case of Jones, Floyd Landis, and Bonds, they outright denied taking anything even though evidence proved otherwise. I didn't see Shane mounting any legal teams or campaigning across the media for his innocence.

    Regardless of

    ADMITTED guilt (Mosley)
    ASSUMED guilt (Bonds)
    PROVEN guilt (Landis, Jones)

It's all guilt. All should receive sanctions.

Would Ben Johnson still have his medal if he hadn't been caught, but 2 years later came out and said "Oh, and I was roided to the eyeballs for the 100m. I only found out later that what I was being given was steroids".

Of course he wouldn't. Why is Mosley different? Because he's a good guy???

In fact, out of all of them, only Bonds should face no sanctions. He hasn't admitted guilt, or been found guilty.

In a perfect and justified sports society, you'd be right. Guilt is guilt. But that's not how it is nor how it works. Mosley is a good guy, so he gets a pass from media attacks. While Bonds will probably be forever remembered with his Balco connections, not that there was any hard evidence against that proved he was guilty beyond a doubt, but he is a jerk to the media so it's easier to villainize him. Criminals get lesser sentences sometimes for admitting to guilt instead of claiming innocence and being found guilty anyway. I don't see how it's different here.

Unfortunately, it is what it is.

Add Lance to the proven guilt as well.
