Roy Jones actually tested positive for steroids for the Richard Hall fight and the whole thing was swept under the rug. Jones got a pass despite a positive test and a lame assed excuse. At least Mosley owned up to it and the media didn't sweep the incident under the table

Richard Hall tested positive too for the substance, which usually means the test went wrong.

Jones did a second test for that fight and came up clean.

Of course it does, especially if he's fighting for a belt. Maybe not every fighter in the sport, but at the very least, all of the top class fighters in his division, or a division either side as well.

Everyone is one rung further down the ladder because of a guy on roids.

If that guys' not there - he's no longer the mandatory - so the guy who is now NOT getting a title shot, should get it, and so on down the line.

He's taking PPV money, purse money, etc away from clean fighters. Potentially (if he's world class) sponsorship money, appearance money, advertising revenue, etc. All of those things are taken away.

It's not as simplistic as just 1 guy, 1 fight.

We do know he was roided for that fight...he got the roids right before the fight and he admitted to taking it before DLH II.

He wasnt being a ***** and denying it, he just said he wasnt aware he was doing them (which may be bull****, but you will never know.)

Heres another question, if the **** went down in 03, why wait till he gets a title shot to bring it up?

I would imagine recent events with Marion Jones will have stirred up a few memories.

No- that means BOTH FIGHTERS WERE TAKING STEROIDS you moron!

Both had Andro (I believe) and Hall had something else, like Anavar or some other AAS.

The ignorance on this board is staggering... Do you honestly think Jones and Toney, Mosley and Golota are the only boxers to have taken banned substances? Do a little reading into AAS and you'll know the truth. Guys that are plagued with injuries are prime suspects; one of the most popular steroids is stanozolol (winstrol), and gives big increases in strength and speed to athletes without much weight gain- the downside is that it dries out the joints and makes an athlete injury proned. It is available in injection form as well as oral pill. These guys don't get caught because they end their cycles in time to be clean for the test. Steroids don't necessarily make you huge, small fighters as well as the heavies are taking them. Only the foolish get a positive test. Many of today's fighters are on... Are you telling me that the Klitchko's are just taking creatine...?

    Yes he has.

It has been proven that he doped on epo in the 1999 Tour. But then, who cares, all cyclists are on it.

Mosley checked with the Nevada State Athletic Commission BEFORE getting the supplements and they OK'd it (I read this in a recent Doug Fisher Mailbag which I can't seem to locate right now). It was later that Shane's name came up when they stated they were in fact illegal and he admitted to taking them and didn't know at the time that they were banned.
