Anyone find it funny what Hopkins said at the weigh-in?

Did anyone find it funny what Bernard Hopkins said at the Malignaggi - Broner weigh-in about Jessica? Hopkins made it seem like this fight is over a girl, as if the winner gets the girl or something lol.

In reality, Paulie wants nothing to do with Jessica! Paulie isn't fighting for Jessica at all! Jessica isn't even Broner's girlfriend. Yet Hopkins is making it seem like both want her lmao.

Oh and another thing, Farhood asked Hopkins about the weight, and if Broner moving up will affect him. And he said it wouldn't, then out of the blue he also added in that the catchweight won't affect Canelo either. then as a conflicting statement mentioned that it will be easier for Floyd to go up in weight then it will be for Canelo to go down in weight. This is such BS from Hopkins. Has Hopkins been reading our threads here in ESB? like DLH, he's obviously trying to spin it to not make Maywaether look bad, and doing a poor job of it.

 

ok then put what he said about the weights aside, what about what he said about Jessica? Making it seem as if they are fighting for the girl is just flat out false. Paulie wants nothing to do with her. It's clear that Hopkins is backing what Broner is putting out there.

he's not really selling the fight by saying that. he's merely giving his opinion on it. the fight sells itself by itself. doesn't need hopkins to make up stuff for the fight to sell. ironically, Schaefer made it a point at the beginning of the press conference thursday and asked broner and paulie to not talk about girlfriends and just talk about the fight. yet like clockwork broner brought up jessica again, and paulie responded by asking jessica if she knew the name of his mother.

basically these days, it's as if anything can happen and it just gets chalked up to "selling the fight". but obviously Schaefer didn't want them talking about Jessica anymore, or he wouldn't have made it a point to say that at the press conference. whether you call it "selling the fight" or not, Hopkins comments are quite funny in how he made it seem like the winner gets the girl and it's obviously not like that. Paulie wants nothing to do with this chick Jessica.
