But mediocre punchers can handle Norton with ease. I like Norton but his style is useless against power punchers

Shavers and cooney, when I said mediocre I meant skill wise, but Vitali has the power and skill to take out Norton

Vitali wasn't skilled enough to even hurt Kingpin Johnson . The skills he would need to stop Notron are on the inside , but Vitali can't shorten his punches , thats why he no good up close. On the outside Norton moved quicker than Vitali punched.

Norton was shot to bit against Cooney. . Vitali can beat that version for sure

I don’t think either of us are gonna budge, but all I’m saying is Norton stands zero chance against vitali and I think most would agree

Shavers caught a Norton on the slide. Cooney caught Norton when he was absolutely done. Moreover, I don't think Vitali has the power of either Shavers or Cooney.

Vitali imposes his will and physicality. Norton has a slim chance, certainly not "no chance" but again, slim.

Vitali wins 9 rounds out of 12.

Because most people remember Vitali as the guy who gave a gallant effort against Lewis and have long forgotten about how average he looked for the other 95% of his career.

Picking Vitali is like picking Felix Sturm to beat Mike McCallum.

As much as I like Ken Norton, no. I can’t give him very good odds against Vitali Klitschko. Wrong style and wrong set of physical tools.

How do you know he had the wrong style? Vitali never fought let alone beat sombody with the style of Ken Norton.

If you're so sure Vitali wins , tell me what guys he beat could outbox Ali and arguably beat prime Holmes over 12 rounds?

I can’t see this fight doing anything but turning into a physical battle. It’s not going to be like Ali dancing around throwing jabs and Norton simply coming in with his crab defense slipping the jab and landing.. he’s going to shuffle across the ring towards Vitali and be met with far greater size, strength, power and a solid chin. Vitali might not dispatch Ken in the same early fashion as Foreman or Shavers but over several rounds it’s certainly plausible that he’ll break down Norton for the stoppage....

Well there’s my analysis. Now let’s hear yours. How DOES Norton best Vitali ? I look forward to a good read ;)

When you bother to comment on things non-K related, I tend to agree with you.

Unfortunately, this is the sort of thing I mostly see from you. And this may be the most asinine thing you have ever posted.

    Congratulations?

This is the crux of the whole issue. He was 40 years old, in the second to last fight of his career and in his second boxing life. I’ll also wager that Chisora had a better chin than Norton.
