I think Vitali Klitschko v Jerry Quarry is a more interesting fight.
    Frazier's a level above.

Let us know the fighter or style that Vitali ever was losing to.. ....

Quarry was a good counter puncher with some boxing skills. He would certainly be more entertaining...but lose by KO earlier to VK.

Frazier just gets a more prolonged beat down put on him.

I was joking because every time I explain that it was an injury and he was clearly winning before hand, I get the ignorant “he quit” response

One thing that I believe that was overlooked is that Smoking Joe Frazier in his prime years before the George Foreman fight in 1973 had a really good corner, Yank Durham and Eddie Futch, who had handled fighters dating back to he 1950's. Also Frazier had an uncanny way of slipping an opponents left jab, to get inside to deliver his brutal left hooks to the body. Maybe trivial, but Joe's corner was very studious in scouting out future opponents.

Two vastly underrated fighters today ... Vitali is so much bigger but over 15 rounds I may favor Frazier to pound out a decision despite the huge size disadvantage .. Vitali's KO power is overrated .. he beat men over many rounds and punches, he was not nearly the banger as a Foreman or a Lewis , not close .. I don't see him blasting Joe out but I see Joe having a hell of a lot of body to pound ..

Liston quitting against Ali with a shoulder injury never seems to get old for some.

Yes he's not, all I said is he has the same tools and advantages as Foreman has over Frazier. A good big man beats a great small man, it's simple.

I think Vitali would win too.
But the expression you used is incorrect. It is a good big man beats a good small man.
No just "good" big man is likely to beat Frazier.
    But Vitali was great.

So many bad takes in one thread from both sides! The truth is that both would be in very tough fight. Vitali never faced anyone as good as Frazier (including old, past prime Lennox). Frazier faced better fighters than Vitali, but he didn't always beat them. It's very hard fight to predict, because both fighters seems to look wrong for the other one.

Frazier dominated fighters with similar styles to Vitali. The problem is that Vitali is huge and physically strong, this massive size advantage could be a factor.

If Frazier's chin held up, I'd pick him to win decision in a brutal fight. I don't think Vitali would outpoint him, though it's not impossible either. I don't see Frazier stopping Vitali cleanly, though he could win via TKO after some nasty cuts.

Anyway, it would be a great fight and it's definitely not a missmatch in any way!
