I haven't been the to Greenwood for ages but this fight has me very interested. In the past I have just got the fights on Main Event but this time that is not an option.

Anyone going to the Greenwood in Perth to see Calzaghe vs Kessler?

even though i have Setanta, i was thinking about going just for the atmosphere but the length of the undercard has put me off. Unless your there at 4.30am, you aint gonna get a decent seat and with a 5 hour undercard i wouldn't want to be standing around for hours on end.

Doors open at 8 but no **** served till 10. I've also got Setanta but hopefully will be able to get there, desperately trying to arrange a babysitter for the lids, but Sunday am isn't the most optimum time. Worst case scenario might be able to get there by 10.
So how we gonna know who the ESB alumni are? Possibly we'll be the only ones there anyway. I've watched the last few PPVs at the Paddo and its usually just me and another guy. The staff know me as the guy who drinks Guinness at 9am and yells advice at the big screen.

    Haha, that'll narrow it down!

Maybe we should all wear ties so we know who we are...:nut

I'll wear my Collingwood members cap, that always makes an impression.

It should be remembered that over 300,000 spectators are expected to flock to Perth's Swan River to witness the Red Bull Air Race. Maybe a few deluded people might make the dreadful mistake of thinking that the Red Bull Air Race might be more exciting than watching Mikkel Kessler beat Joe Calzaghe so thenumbers at the Greenwood might be down relative to what otherwise might be the case.

That and the non stop advertising blitz. Not much in todays papers, zip in the Australian and a few paragraphs in a sidebar in the West. Outside of boxing fans not many people would even know this is on.

What happened to the good ol' sickie? I'd quit my job to watch this fight, I don't understand.
