less calories is not always the way to go especially when you need to compete as well. to be honest mate if you have a weighin that is a couple of hours before your competition you can lose 2kgs fairly easily beforehand, so don't go ape**** on the dieting, it just isn't necessary.
I disagree here Mr Small. no way youll properly rehydrate 2kg in 2 hours. I struggled to make weight before moving up, and did it by dehydrating, and I always felt really flat no matter what I did after the weigh in/doctor. If you cant make the weight as an amateur, move up. Thats the only sensible option!
