Basically, I have been diagnosed with tendonitis of the ankle which will put me out of action for about 4-6 weeks and obviously don't want to balloon up and be too unfit for when i can come back. I've started to do swimming, but i'm absolutely hopeless to the point that i nearly drown myself so was wondering if anyone else had some ideas?
Stick with swimming and you'll eventually get the hang of it. My girlfriend just learned to swim in the past few weeks and now loves being in the water. You could also try out an eliptical machine if you have one available. Also, depending on which way you rolled your ankle, biking could be an option.
I don't think my ankle is upto biking or the eliptical trainer just yet, maybe in a couple of weeks when its recovered a bit more. Will just keep up with the swimming for the moment then
