I can't believe this thread was even started!
This is the classic forum, don't we all love the old
stuff? I've got hours on end of tapes and, since I've basically
blown off boxing except for the marque matches, circa mid-90's, it's all I've got left.
As I said earlier, I even love the old commercials that
are left in on some tapes I purchase.
And, with all due respect, to the two ''dick slapping" antagonist's jousting with each other, this obviously is an unmoderated website.
Please take your shouting matches elsewhere, aren't we all classic boxing fans first and foremost?

I`ve got loads of fights in B&W that are in excellent condition, the picture is nice and sharp and the detail so fine you can see the sweat on the fighters brow up close, so I guess the thread starter just had the misfortune of getting some footage that was in poor quality.

Myself I don`t mind at all watching B&W footage, in fact I rather enjoy it and the fact that most of my old fights that are in B&W are far more exciting and enjoyable than most of the crap we get fed these days makes it all the more fun to watch.

And like jowcol I also get a kick out of those old commercials, and another thing that I like is that the old time commentators didn`t feel the need to talk every damn second of a round unlike todays guys who can`t seem to shut the **** up and let the action speak for itself, that **** gets on my nerves bigtime.

Old black and white boxing matches are treasures.
