i am just about to get my medical but my coaches said there wont be any fights available untill after christmas.
i am going to eat lots of crap over cristmas and i dont think i am alone on tht one.
i was thinking of doing bag work and circuit routines, and when i am not at the gym much (very close to christmas time) go running twice a day

Just eat but work hard, find time to train, and don't consistently overeat. Say christmas day go all out, but the other days limit yourself on the sweets front!

    Yes i do actually.

I know last year that i ate a boatload of rubbish (as did the whole nation) but i just felt really sluggish every day.

So with that in mind, this year i'm going to eat super clean for the first 20 days of the month whilst also bladdering the cardio/weights side of things, taper down from the 20th-27th, and be back in the gym whilst (hopefully) not binging every day.

I will have the odd treat here and there, but i'll also make sure that i'll be getting some kind of training in every day over christmas (even if it's 20-35 mins of skipping every day).

    Good thread btw mate!

Christmas eve, Christmas day and Boxing day are going to be my 'let loose' days. Then back to training as usual on the 27th.

Out here there's shows every weekend in Nov/Dec to prep for LBC tournaments in January.

I'm planning to schedule a fight or two around the beginning/middle of December if (or so) I can get my ass in shape by then. Won't be able to get to the gym till November so I'll have a good 6 weeks or so.

Figure if I have fights scheduled between Thanksgiving and Christmas I'll have to keep myself under control.

I have no qualms about dominating some food on and around holidays though, especially if I'm training hard. Always makes me laugh when people who aren't even training stress about way overeating on a few days, yet most of them have no problem getting wasted most weekends throughout the year. 'God forbid I eat too much turkey, that'd do me in for sure!'

Long as you aren't slamming down copious amounts of food multiple times a week, you're fine. Go to a party every weekend and eat until you feel like stopping. Helps to have a cheat day anyhow.

I don't know about you lot, but there is something that i love about training over the christmas period!

Probably going for runs in the snow whilst everyone else is being gay (see 'sensible') might be what it is. Hahaha

smuggness mixed with crisp cold air is quite amazing. My cousins live in the peak district so going for morning walks around there during christmas is just incredible.
