Read the post, the message is that refs nowdays repeatedly warn fighters who are landing shots at or above the beltline to keep them up to keep their shots up.....
......Marquez has been sucessful in hurting Iggy to the body in each of the three fights they've had......
......are you going to tell me that the ref repeatedly warning and then deducting a point on a shot that was clearly not low, are you going to tell me that was'nt a factor in the flow, and the actual outcome of the fight?

Being repeatedly warned for shots that are not low is bad enough, but when you're deducted a point for such, the ref is in essence telling Marquez not to throw shots to the body.
The ref is taking a valuable weapon from Marquez for warning him about low shots when they're clear as day not low!

The fight was such an epic fight, that I was willing to give the ref the benefit of the doubt.......but then he opens his big mouth at the ring interview he had with Jim Gray, and he said something to the effect...."I kept warning him not to go low, I did'nt want to deduct points in such a tremendous battle, but then he hit him with a shot that was so low, he gave me no choice but to take away a point."
.....then Jim Gray shows him the replay of the shot that he called clearly low and Gray said, "it did'nt look low on the replay, any regrets?"
......the ******* with a staight face after just having been proven dead wrong on the shot to deduct a point, said...."absolutely no regrets!":patsch

The ref did absolutely a great job to call the knockdown on Marquez in the final round when the ropes saved him, but after his comments about having no regrets when the replay clearly showed he was dead wrong on his call, I lost all respect for him.

Refs are easily influenced, some have very little backbone.....I'm wondering if the Vazquez team during the dressing room instructions complained to the ref to look out for Marquez throwing low blows.

Vasquez in all three fights has been hurt more to the body than he's had to the head by Marquez, that may have been a smart ploy on Vasquez' team to put that into the refs head and give them an advantage by taking away that weapon from Marquez.

....and Silvermags, I disagree with the decision, I thought Marquez clearly and I mean clearly won the first 4 rounds.....but it turns out that two of the judges had the fight even at that point........thats baffling to me.....
.....but I cant really complain with alot of passion on the scoring of the fight from then on past the 4th.....it was back and fourth and just a trememdous fight.....right up there with some of the best I've ever seen in skill, heart, and passion.

.....can you imagine if JMM and Pac try to duplicate what Raphael and Vasquez just did???:D
Unfortunately for Pac fans, JMM is too smart a fighter to get lured into that type of a fight.
JMM will put some hurt on Pac imo, but be more restrained even in the face of seeing it easy to land his shots on Pac.

You throw your combinations and you get out to start the process over again, but Raphael mentality is to kill. He's a Warrior in every sense of the word. To a fighter as skilled as Raphael, that type of mentality can sometimes work against you!
Sometimes is best to use your skill and intelligence.
.....on the 15th we will see the master do as such!:hey :yep :deal :D  ;)

I thought Vazquez would of won even if their was no point deduction. It was a very close even fight and could of gone either way. But your right Divac that was defintley a bad call by the ref.
