Whenever I am boxing or sparring I notice my feet are pretty fast but they also seem incredibly light. For example, when I get hit, my feet seem to move out of balance( not the KO way). It's like there isn't any weight or balance in them when I am throwing punches. Honestly I have good power (enough to hurt really well) but it seems to me is that when I punch most of my power comes from my back and chest while my legs are as always either light or off balance. Is there any workouts or methods to put more into my legs?

maybe you over extend punches? your balance could suck? try sitting on your punches...or talking to a trainer

I tried sitting on my punches during sparring but in fights you can't think or at least I can't because I get too nervous.

Actually, now that you brought it up, I feel like I have to much weight in my feet. I mean I move around the ring and sit square and maneuver and all that great, but I dont "feel" light at all... how do you get the feeling?

(I dont mean to try and steal your tread, its just never been brought up or strongly to my attention untill now. Good thread Scorpion)

I always have my backfoot (right) on my toes and my front (left) flat.

Well, it's as if my legs aren't able to stay on the ground, like even when I throw my hardest punches it feels like all the power is coming from my back. I have to REALLY sit down on my punches to lose that lightness. It's a problem because my style is mostly on speed but when I get hit my legs just get pushed out of position from the force.

LOL speed isn't the problem at all, it's balance and strength.

maybe you need to strengthen and condition your legs better. like squats and leg lifts and things of that nature may help.

Could be but I also have skinny small feet, and I don't think it's technique, even when I get hit while I am in proper position my feet move to when my head gets shaken.

Probably to do with your stance, standing to square, taking big steps, etc.
