Regarding's Cintron'sleap out of the ring as intentional.

"I'm not saying it happened, I'm just saying that 's possible".

Well, that's just saying that it's not impossible, which, basically isn't saying anything substantial.

Man unless Cintron was paid to blow that fight I can't see why he jumped out intentionally. I've watched the fight many many times and there are a few things that are clear to me that for whatever reason most people talking about this aren't smart enough to see. First, Paul Willaims, who is supposed to be some high volume swarming mechine, couldn't land a ****ing punch all night. He litterally was way too slow and awkward to hit Cintron, whose Defence was very good on the night. The second myth that is going around about this fight is that Paul was starting to turn up the heat in the fight and was starting to land on Cintron when he went diving out of the ring. This is complete and utter bull****. Cintron didn't get hit with anything in that last round. The only punch that you can refer to is the left hand he landed on Cintron in reply to the left hook that Cintron landed at the start of the round. You MAY notice that at this point Paul was still stunned from the hook and the punch had nothing on it. Moreover, you may notice that Cintron took the punch on purpose so that he could land his Sunday punch...which he did. The rest of the round is Paul willaims on shaky legs getting poped with left hooks adn right hands while he aimlessly tries to grab on to Cintron. Finally he gets a hold of him and his legs, being jelly at this point, awkwardly trip over themselves and he bails into Cintron...the rest is history.

The big thing that people aren't talking about here is that was Paul VERY close to being knocked out right before the craziness started. So if you believe that Cintron purposely ducked out of this fight then you have to ask yourself why a guy who was absolutely spanking the other guy, to a point where he almost had him out on his feet, would try to find a way to get out of the fight? Maybe he's an idiot but I can never see a fighter purposely bailing out of the ring and thereby giving more time to a fighter he almost had out on his feet. Thats just stupidity at its highest level and you'd have to be a hell of a Sophist to convince me thats what happened here. The fact that this has gotten soo much play is shocking and is just a testiment to how stupid many fans of this game can be.

BTP, not saying that this to you because I am not aware of your oppinion on this matter but in general the level of stupidity on this matter is shocking.

Teddy Atlas is so passive aggressive with every attack he does. Let your balls drop Teddy. If you are going to mouth off, stop being so passive aggressive. It comes out as a rumor mongering than actual reporting or analysis.

    He is such an amateur.

didn't get to see the fight, wondered what ESB folks had to say about it. Also curious about what's up with Teddy Atlas lately, seems that his stature/ remarks have diminished somewhat -- I used to like the fact that he would state his opinion without regard for the backlash that sometime came. Sorta raw and unguarded. Does anybody feel like he's acting more irrational or is it just me?

Maybe I was watching a different fight because I did see wiliams land in that last round a hard left the planted Kermit on the ropes and another left that left him open for kermits right. Right before they got tangled Williams landed a glancing left. So he did hit him. I actually gave Williams the third round. And I think your way off on how hurt Williams was. Williams was hurt but to think he was seconds away from being knocked out is off. I've watched alot of his fights and he always appears to be kinda of off balance and has awful footwork. He was hurt but he has good recupe skills and he came right back to initiate the action.
As far as "the jump" goes, I think Kermits momentum was carrying him out the ring and he instinctively tried to adjust his body so as to fall in a manner that would do the least amount of harm to his body. I don't think he jumped as much as it was a last ditch effort to adjust to falling. But what should be stated is he did attempt to milk the situation and shot his self in the foot and is now bitter over the whole thing.
