Anyone here collect old boxing radio broadcasts?

    Ive been collecting these casually for about 10 years now and Im starting to get more into it. Does anyone here collect them as well and want to trade?

    Klompton how did you start/how did you find them and how early does your collection go back

    I think I started by being interested in one particular fight and just acquired more along the way. I find them piecemeal. Its sort of an odd thing because there arent many guys who collect boxing audio exclusively. I find them here and there. They are quite fascinating and often offer an extra insight into the fights that cant be gotten from watching films or reading accounts. My collection goes back to 1926.

    I used to listen to fights live when i was a kid. The tv broadcast would usually be the next night. For me listening on the radio always had a magic about it. I used to record fights when I was a kid in the 70's.

    I've got the old time radio collection..... maybe a couple of others...saxton v basilio... got charley norkus v cesar brion the other day from norkus' s son...great don dunphy blow by blow.

    and I've got the heavyweight fantasy tournament...murray woroners ones...a lot better than you may imagine......searched everywhere for the middleweight one but cant get it

    I used to have a bunch of broadcasts from the 1930s... But I can't find them anymore... :(
