Theres no way of knowing what would have happened without the cut but ask yourself honestly, having watched this fight, what would your money be on in a rematch??

    Khan by stoppage.....am I right?;)

If those two rematched I reckon the odds would be something like 1/5 to 1/7 for Khan to win. That may be being kind to MAB.

How about stiffening Amir's legs with half blocked single shots?

To win Amir would have had to keep up his excellent work for every second of the 12. MAB would only have to catch him out once, and as the fight wore on that would have become more likely in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think a MAB win was a certainty by any stretch but i do think with another 7 rounds if MAB hadnt been hampered with blood in his eye he might well have found a good enough shot to get a stoppage win.

If Khan had got the cut and the fight was stopped in the first, i wonder what some of you would be saying, actually i don't need to wonder would probably be lines of coward, glass heart, etc.

Why would MAB only have to catch Khan once? You make it sould like Khan was treading a tightrope, thats not the fight I saw at all.

MAB only fights one minute rounds nowadays at the best of the times. This is clear from his fights over the last few years.

He's a 35 year old little guy who age badly (in boxing terms), who's come out of retirement in the recent past, fighting at several weight classes above his best weight - in a weight class he has never proven himself.

I have no idea where all this super stamina - coming on strong later on -out working a young kid natural at the weight, is supposed to come from.

How can people say Khan would've beat him anyway?

Before the cut Barrera slipped a lot of Khans punches.... he was also working him out.....then the cut happens and his plans goes out the window along with at least 50% of his vision....it was major distraction for him.....and it showed....

IMO Barrera would've caught him flush at least once in the 12 rounds.....he caught him in the 4th (i think) and that was just a glancing blow and Khan really held on for dear life....he looked steady but he went for the clinch right away....which is good and a major improvement for Khan.....but still shows he has major problems....as most fighters would just dust it off and continue to use their advantage...... I'm shocked Khan couldn'y make more of his advantage and KO Barrera given the circumstances.... Junior Jones did it under similar circumstances against a near prime Barrera.... Khan did well....but to say he was punch perfect was very slimy thing to do by SKy pundits....they just jumped on the warren bandwagon.....They should hve lveled it up by saying "he was Punch Perfect.....BUT....Barrera was badly cut in Rd1 and before the Cut Barrera slipped quite a few early punches....." that's what honest people would say.....not these idiots trying to promote their Channel and promote their deal with Warren...it stinks

PS. Well done to Khan, he did what he had to do...and he definately improved

He went bandy from a half blocked shot. A single clean shot would have had him in trouble and guys like MAB, old though he might be, dont let people off the hook. Thus I said he only needs to catch him once.

Also notice how MAB was easily slipping Khan's shots before the cut.

MAB was slower, got backed up and was beaten to the punch all fight. Last nights MAB wasn't the guy who beat Morales at 126lbs 5 years ago. If he doesn't take that fight as a hint that he can't cut it at 135 at his age then he's a fool.
