Oh I think he should call it a day too.

But that does not mean he could not have won last night if he hadnt cut his head open on Amir's glass jaw.

Well done to Amir on the win. His style has improved but the silly showboating wont earn him any fans.

ps. was I the only who thought Amir was saved by the bell at the end of the 2nd? (he was seconds away from being floored imho)

Considering how Khan looked I say no but you never know if MAB could have landed that big shot ..Its always a what if but its over now time to move on ..Khan need a live body in there ..Not sure what direction they will take him but I better not hear Johnny Tapia's name as a possible future opponent next !

    Exactly...

Barrera's game plan initially looked to be to take it slow and wait to pick his shots...thinking he'd catch khan sooner or later...the speed was far too much for him...especially with the measured use of it...not being impatient and diving on the guy...

Barrera prime would destroy Khan no doubt but thats irrelevant...he stupped up in class of opponent and looks to have stepped up in class all round himself...

Very valid. Lets have a rematch and see how many people are willing to back up their opinions with hard cash on Barrera at even money.

Perhaps not but I don't see how anyone can pretend the cut didn't have an effect. Pretty convenient for Khan that the fight was halted in the fifth wouldn't you say?

Not at all. He must retire. Still, all's he needs to say is "I've been training harder than ever" and a few dolts will be putting money on him again.

I would have got interesting if not for the cut,at some point throught out the 12 rounds the Mexican woud have landed with something meaty,he's too good a fighter to not to.As it was from the point he got cut he only landed two even half decent shots and both made Amir's legs wobble a little.

what a farce that was. as soon as barrera got that cut he had no chance.
piper, nelson and mcrory totally played down the significance of that cut.
im gutted by that result the breat barrera losing like that is sad.
Did anyone notice warren influence the ref to stop the fight when barrera threw a couple of hurtful punches.

I did. I noticed Khans legs buckling and was like 'Omg someone do something'. Then I saw Warren signal to the ref, tap on the nose, a wink in Barreras direction, then I was like 'Warrens got a plan, god be praised.' I noticed the ref wink back. I then saw the ref turn to the ringside doc, who was sitting at that point counting a large bundle of £50 notes at this point, the doctor looked up and in unison they nodded at each other. The doctor approached the apron, winked at Warren and told the ref 'Begin opperation Barrera scam' With this the referee waved the fight off.

    It's a disgrace I tell you.

Also, if you watch the replay of the headclash slowly you'll notice that initially Barrera doesn't appear to be cut at all. Then a red line appears on his head which can only have been one of those laser deelies they use for keyhole operations, presumably operated by the ringside Warren slicing through Barrera's skin...

Now that you mention it I did notice Warren slap his hands together Mr Miyagi fashion. With the signal given Khans cornermen all put on MIB shades, Khan closed his eyes and moved in. The skill part for me was Warren though, at this point he didn't have the right angle but the genius of the man already had this covered. He'd placed a tiny mirror placed on Khans ear and managed to slice Barrera with precise angulation.

I feel so honored to have watched the plan carried out to perfecton.

MAB is pretty shot worse than i thought, however i fully expected Khan to look great in the first few rounds, which he did, he boxed clever used his size ans speed, but MAB was never hurt not once, where as i would say Khan was hurt a few times, once just before the fight got stopped his legs froze but he grabbed hold. Khan's chin is ****ing terrible, i have no idea what Warren can do with him, Any guy who is the same size with a bit of a dig will KTFO.
