Had it for Horn. Could see it maybe 7-5 Manny.
But I thought Horn did enough to earn that W.

Had Horn winning 115-113 on first watch. I've been meaning to watch it again but have never got round to it haha.

He won fair and square. He also isn't elite, but ATG Pacman wasn't totally shot. How on earth do I reconcile those views? Easy, dummies, styles make fights, this your first day following boxing or something? :roto2lol: :D

Iirc I had Horn winning by 1 point.

I think in retrospect the fight could have gone either way but when the 12 rounds had ended, personally I got the feeling that Horn deserved the win more than Pacquaio even though it was close.

Anyone who had Horn as the winner of that fight should pick a new sport to follow.

Even Teddy Atlas who is a known critic/hater of Pacquiao had him as the clear winner.

I had it 8-4 to Manny
Was quite annoyed initially but then remembered this is boxing and judges are not to be relied on

They aren't basing their scores on who landed the most effective punches. They are basing their decision entirely on how the fighters looked. Pac looked old and slow while Horn looked young and strong. It doesn't even occur to them that Horn's energetic attacks could be ineffective, or that the weaker Pac landed the more effective shots do to timing and placement.

The same chick judge who ruined Roman Gonzalez career worked this fight. She obviously doesn't care how many more punches a fighter lands if the bigger stronger guy takes them well. She should have had her name dragged through the mud like Adelaid Byrd, CJ Ross, and that chick who misscored the first Holyfield Lewis fight.

Funny how there's so many less Horn defenders here now that a few years have passed... and Horn's career has completely been derailed.

I was thinking of two examples where a young fighter was given too much credit fighting an old ATG. Both fights were scored wide by girls. Byrd scored Morales Maidana for Maidana. And someone named Patricia Harman have JM Marquez no respect in the Bradley fight.

He rough housed in the clinch, yes. He was bigger, stronger, younger, and he tried to bully Pac. But none of that is boxing and you aren't supposed to score rough housing. Pac far outclassed Horn in accurate, effective, landed punches.

No he didn't. Pac also whoops his pathetic ass even worse anywhere else in the world. That fight was a disgrace. Thankfully Horn had been pummelled twice since and there's a huge ladder for him to climb if hes to ever be in a relevant fight outside of the Australian market again.
