Peter Fury said he was the bogeyman of the division, I'm pretty sure in the same interview he said that Charles Martin was the most dangerous too.
No way Ruiz beats wilder. I like Ruiz he’s a cool guy but he’s always been open to the straight right hand. Wilder would obliterate him.
Most people, including myself, expect Wilder to knock Ruiz out. People forget that Joshua knocked Ruiz down and was on the verge of stopping him before getting beat up in the first fight. Unfortunately Ruiz is a shadow of the version that fought Parker and Joshua in the first fight. His conditioning is poor as shown yesterday against Ortiz. We still don't know how much Wilder has left in the tank so his performance against Helenius will be an interesting watch.
Love watching Andy Ruiz, he's a big fat pudding but he comes to fight and is willing to throw combinations in a shoot out and take a shot or two himself. Against Wilder, you can't afford to be taking even one shot so I don't fancy Ruiz's chances but I just hope he stays reasonable active now.
The benefit of this is that it looks like for the first time in a while top 10 heavyweights outside of the champions are actually fighting one another.
Hearn tried to build Ortiz up but after bashing in Dave Allen's head he then took part in one of the most bizarre fights I've ever seen against Malik Scott and that was that. That was nearly six years ago.
malik was the fight before Dave Allen. Problem was Ortiz is a counter puncher and malik went in giving him nothing to counter also made it a farce by flopping about when ever Ortiz did land. Was shame we didn’t get the dillian whyte fight at that time.
