...Miguel Vasquez? Vasquez would certainly be the underdog, but he's an extremely tough (only down once, got up to win the fight), tricky boxer who is extremely difficult to face once he gets into his groove. And he's proved himself against a number of aggressive opponents, so I think he'll bear up reasonably well under the assault. Not saying he beats Rios...But he's got enough to make things interesting. And if Rios manages to do something that Bradley or Alvarez couldn't do (stop him), that should speak very well of Bam Bam's ability.
i'm more interestd in seeing roach train pac to kill this mother****er rios, if arum really wants to make the fight. you can guaran****ingtee roach has not forgotten those 24/7 episodes. rios needs to learn respect.
I'll admit that there are more exciting fighters that Rios could face, but at 135lbs, there aren't too many that are more intriguing than Vasquez. It's an interesting clash of styles, and I'd love to see Rio try and walk down someone who uses a lot of movement and utilizes sound defense and an educated jab. If Vasquez keeps winning, he may well cement himself as the leading contender to Rios' claim to lightweight supremacy. Be a fun clash of styles if and when it takes place.:deal
