i watched the fight last night and i was just pulling my hair out when cotto was backed up against the ropes trying to dodge and roll punches instead of clinching...i know the clinch is frowned upon but it is an effective form of defense especially in circumstances like that

He could have clinched more and run more but he decided not to and it cost him.I had the fight even going into the 11th - i think Cotto underestimated Margarito's chin and stamine just a little

yeah i dunno where these clowns are getting that margarito was winning...not even with the judges scores...you don't win fights by throwing shots and missing ... i thought cotto shoulda been way up on the cards..

Marg was on his way to winning a MD coming into the 11th and i have no problem with that as Marg was taking over from the middle rounds and so forth by landing the harder shots.

I too thought Cotto should have clinched more but its not his style.

He did clinched... it is not always the best defense solution especially against Margarito who loves to throw uppercuts.

He kept trying to slug it out? Which fight were you watching? Cotto ran from the get go. More than half of his shots were not planted bc he was in retreat mode. He only traded when he got trapped on the ropes when Margo cut him off. Give Margo some credit. The guy have to followed and chase Cotto THE ENTIRED FIGHT.

You lucky ass predicted less than 12 rounds and sees a victory for Cotto KO and cashed in on your vcash. You are one lucky fool.

I garantee you that if they rematch Cotto will imply strategic clinches in the fight. He needs to pop in some Hopkins tapes and study them. Cotto doesn't know the word Clinch: it is not in his vocabulary, he never clinched against Torres or Corley or Margarito. He needs to learn how to do it...I was also pulling my hair out, but **** it made the fight very ****ing exciting because he didn't clinch. He fought like a warrior till he was beaten to a pulp.

There are multiple ways to escape a punch and Cotto tried them all. You act like you can't get hurt in a clinch or attempting to clinch so who is the ****ing idiot? I'm pretty sure Cotto can box way better than you buddy, maybe you should apply your clinching strat against Margarito. It is not like he can time you coming in or anything. LMAO ROFL noobie
