Theres a documentary of them on youtube. Good watch. What you dont understand is that they live in camps all there lives. Up at 5 for training and runs. School. Then train until night everyday. There food is monitored, exercise everything monitored by the coaches. They are chosen to fight.

i was kind of upset about that, i could see roach doing wonders with rigo

the thing with these big american trainers is that their gyms are packed, freddie, steward, shields, goossen or any of the big us coaches have many fighters in their stables, they work the mitts, over see sparring and work on tactics, then they let their fighters get on with their training by themselves

alot of fighters dont like that, izzy vasquez wanted someone to over see every part of his training from bag work to jump rope etc so he left roach and went with rudy perez, im guesing thats what rigo is after.

I was upset too, but Rigondeaux said he just wasn't right for him so I guess there would be no point in staying if he isn't comfortable. I'm really excited to see him take on some tougher competition, although he doesn't throw alot he's amazing to watch

Gear was so sparse that they had pillows on the wall.

This was ages ago and is mentioned in the book In The Red Corner, A Journey Into Cuban Boxing - John Duncan

    Anyways :thumbsup

I don't think they do anything in particular other than old school training and drumming in a style that is incredibly successful in the amateurs.
