They both got wins this weekend. Has anyone seen them fight? Can either make any noise? I know Kelvin got a disputed decision over fellow contender Tor Hammer. Never having seen him fight, his upside is that he is 6'7 and has an athletic background in basketball and track. His downside is that he is 36 years old and had 1 amatuer fight. He beat the always useful Stacey Frazier- his best win since Hammer. As for Maurice Byram, he has only beaten complete cans, but at 13-0 with 9 knockouts and a relatively young 28 years old, who knows? Boxrec says his dad fought Holyfield in the Olympic trials, so boxing is in his family.
kelvin beat tor soundly, that was no controversy. hes a good fighter bit up there in age but he is fast, tall, 6'7", and is a good boxer. problem with him is that he continues to move his career slow. he is getting older by the minute but he seems to take care of himself since he use to be a pro basketball player. also he is trained by roy's dad, roy jones sr
byarm is alright. hes flat footed but, has decent power. needs a little work on his defense. should work more on his conditioning
Price is decent, very athletic, ok skills for someone with his experience level, but got a VERY late start. Was an All-American basketball player at UNCC, played professionally in Europe for some years before taking up boxing instead. If he was 10 years younger, you'd see him mentioned as a serious prospect, but at 36 he has a very short window.
