Besides being a small HW, what went wrong in is career? He had solid skills https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jcCzYSmHxc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fq1Zke0XhVQ
he was one of those heavyweights with no real backing. had to work a full time job as well as train and box did at least kick shannon briggs ass for his first loss
Solid Clevel HW. Had a few solid wins over other Clevel guys like Pritchard, Cooper, Tshabalala, Stanton and Willis, but didnt have the chin to bang for a guy his size, which inevitably, when your gnna be fighting guys like Tua, Briggs, Mercer, Izon, Witherspoon, McCall......even in their old age, a chin is essential for a smallish HW.:think
Darroll's problem was that he liked to put himself in danger in order to fire back with his own shots. When defense is a secondary consideration you're going to wrack up some stoppage losses until you're power and durability is off the charts. That said, his punch selection and accuracy made for an offensive arsenal that was beautiful to watch in spurts.
Definitely had some skills... Like Iceman said, had poor management and couldn't dedicate himself completely to the sport, and based on his record it doesn't look like he had the best chin. I always confuse him with Darnell Wilson, for obvious reasons lol.
Forgot this was him... Damn. He was like Jason, kept coming and coming no matter what the cop did. Cop was a tough sob himself, took some big shots from an ex-heavyweight contender that outweighed him by 100 or lbs without going down, i'd see he at the very least has a decent beard on him. Wonder what kind of drugs Wilson was on? That was pretty ****ed to watch.....
