This is not a knock on John, who I think is criminally neglected in Ring's ridiculous p4p rating. Undefeated, double-digit title defense champion who has a win over JMM. Definitely not knocking him. But while we've been talking about John, Gamboa, Lopez and Caballero mixing it up together, his next defense is slated to be this Argentinian named Fernando David Saucedo. I'm curious who knows him. Not me. I can't recall seeing him fight but his knockout ratio is 2.2%. 45 fights, one knockout. He's damn near Zuri Lawrence. He's full of four and six round fights, even recently, and mostly all in Argentina. He's never been stopped, though he's lost four. He's on a pretty long winning streak (hasn't lost since 2004 against Acelino Freitas) and one of his four losses is by DQ. Anybody ever seen him even? Heard of him? This content is protected
I knew about the opponent's name, but not his HUGE KO ratio lol. I've never seen or heard anything about him.
He is ****ing awful to watch...a defensive minded spoiler like a lot of those 2nd tier Argentinians tend to be. I was there for his fight against Skinny Hussein...No words can describe the horror, it was just so boring and an absolute hugfest...Saucedo ran and ran, hugged and hugged. I didnt even see the end because I went out for a smoke, but I remember the boos, he got DQ'd for repeated infringements. He is the worst qualities of John Ruiz and Morrada Hakkar combined. I feel sorry for the people of Bali...this will really be a **** fight with John dominating.
zuri lawrence has 0 ko's. also freitas fought a guy once, i think was name was barry jones he was like 20-0 with no kos
...This sounds like the perfect fight to set up a John/Gamboa fight? What the hell? ...That's why I mentioned him...
http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=57485&cat=boxer Check him out...how does anyone with this record of fights/opponents get a world shot??? He's fought one guy four times, and at least 2 others 3 times (I didn't feel like counting up any more, it was getting hard to pay attention when so many names are the same)
