Why is this man still fighting? Gotta be he needs the $$$$$$ Think he would have schooled Edner Cherry in his day, but he likely takes another loss tomorrow. Just hate seeing guys lose to fighters they never would have lost to in their prime.
I pretty sure that Stevie needs the money. He lost a couple of years of his career after suffering severe injuries in a car crash and also had legal problems that cost him significant chunks of his purse. I hate to see him in this situation, because he remains one of my all time favorites.
I read an article covering all of the usual stuff, he's been training harder, hired a nutritionist, etc. If Edner had one ounce more pop, or if it was a twelve rounder, Stevie wouldn't have a prayer.
Damn shame, he was such a good little fighter. H2H he gives a lot of the ATG greats at 130-140 a hell of a tricky fight.
