Anyone know owt about the Georgian that Macklin's fighting?

He is not european class, lost to martin murray on points but never been knocked out.

What happens to the purse bid for this fight then is it now void or do Maclin and this bloke still share the £125000 but with different percentages?

 

Might as well hand Macklin the strap now and save evrybody the bother..Jomardshvilli as an opponent just lowers the value of the title

 

Surely murray should get a shot instead of the georgian having beaten him recently. Dont know if he would need more time but im sure he'd jump at the chance of proving himself. Im sure he's said he feels he's the best british middleweight before

warren will of offered the fight to everyone in the top 10 (which includes Martin Murray & Andy Lee) and gone down in order until someone accepts. thats how it works with the EBU.

 

those of you complaining have no clue. for 2 weeks notice he is very good. no chance martin murray or andy lee take the fight on 2 weeks notice.

 

Fair enough about the time frame, but why does it have to be for the strap?...that level of opponent just devalues it and Macklin deserves to beat someone decent to win the title
