Haye wants a route to a ppv platform with a wide appeal and not some backwater satellite option. That means Sky. And that means Booth patting Edward's backside. Edward then smiles back and sees Haye's name giving his stable more profile than all of his other fighters put together. Haye and Booth give a smile back that says they're willing to take a couple of lower regular Sky paydays by which time they hope Sky's moneymen will have forgiven them. And with Edward as their frontman it'll be hey presto 'welcome back to Sky Box Office'.

This all started with the celeb jungle thing in order to redress his public image. That wasn't for the boxing hardcore but for the wider public's trust before the Box Office night(s) Haye and Booth are anticipating getting back to. And in fairness Charr to start off with is a good enough start, don't understand the gripes over that one.

    Well said.

Haye couldn't give a toss about Eddie and Matchroom he's just looking for a quick route back to Sky box office.

Ill have to disagree with you about the Charr fight though I think it's garbage, they will build Charr up to be superman and then charge 20 odd quid on box office to watch it.Haye will ice him in three or four rounds and that will be that,if fans are paying for box office it's only fair they get a competitive fight.

    Don't you think so ??

The Charr fight will be on regular Sky Sports though won't it? That's what people are saying about Haye and Booth being willing to take a couple of lower paydays before the Sky Box Office door re-opens again. In that sense, Charr isn't such a bad pick after the Klit fight where he wasn't doing all that bad until the cut. And he will have name recognition at least through that. Outside of a handful at the top of the heavyweight listings it's pretty much throw a dart and see what it hits in terms of opponents anyway pretty much. If Charr leads to a Pulev later in the year then you'd have to say fairplay on that score I think.

I would guess part of the deal involves undercards, since there's only Haye and Groves? signed with Hayemaker, they won't be able to put on a proper show, so they have to work with another promoter to provide the undercard.

Good to hear it's on SS1, but no doubt there will be a PPV later this year. I will never pay for a Haye PPV ever again after the Valuev/Klitschko farces.

Groves isn't signed with Hayemaker. They have no fighters apart from David himself.

I would imagine the deal is setup with Hayemaker so that they co-promote the Haye fights with Matchroom. That way they can get a higher percentage of the profits that a single fighter would take.
