The past couple of years that is. I'm aware he's had a few lower level fights since the Ortiz bout. His career seems to of done nothing but stagnant since... after he gained some real momentum from several consecutive TV appearances before suffering back to back lossing. Is this inactivity of his own doing or has he been somewhat frozen out as something out of a "Who needs' em" type opponent, since meeting fellow "**** Em" group member Luis Ortiz back in late 2015?
He's fighting Dawejko later this month... Has been pretty busy lately, an impressive performance there and he'll probably land another big fight. Inactivity before was down to no big fights coming his way(and his holding out and opting to not stay busy facing journeymen in the meantime)
I believe he signed with top rank, he is still a very good fighter he just cant compete with the elites.
Going the distance with Wlad inflated his ego. He actually thought he was the best heavyweight after the Wlad fight until Ortiz badly humbled him. He seems to just be going through the motions now. The two year layoff after the Ortiz fight and his quality of opposition screams he's hoping for a cashout fight with one of the champions.
He had options for good contender v contender fights, but didn't want to take the "risk", and thus left a lot of money on the table and found his career has stalled out. A perfect example of why HWs should not be afraid to face other good contenders.
He fought one of the most avoided heavyweights of this generation years before anyone else would touch him, and took on the likes of Fedosov & Wlad... How are those weak fights?
Thats why you dont fight dangerous opponent after taking a loss right away.He changed trainers and was adviced to not fight Ortiz in his come back fight after Wlad loss and yet Jennings took it and got Ko`d and gone into hiding. Pretty overrated fighter but still cant see him being any worse than Takam or Miller or even Whyte,Breazeale and so on.
Can't credit him for fighting WK, if anything WK deserves credit as Wilder ducked Jennings to fight one of his leftovers.
Whyte called him out and then they fought on the same card against rubbish opponents when they should’ve fought each other
I was wondering if anyone was going to mention this match. I'm sure it'll be a pretty wide Jennings decision but I would like see it competitive. Dawejko, IMO, could of been a much bigger player at cruiserweight. Or at least a bit more competitive he's had some interesting ones.
he should fight whyte. he'll get a pretty decent purse from it. and they can hype it up as philly goons vs brixton roadmen.
