I think it was Lukas and he was supposed to fight for the vacant belt with Dzinziruk being the mandatory.
But that never happened.
According to Gary, Dzinziruk was promised 2 fights on HBO... Did not happen.

Underrated win for martinez, outjabbing a undefeated top 154 guy and knocking his ass out while everyone was expecting dzinziruk to make him look bad in a technical fight which martinez would win (kind of like what barker did or narvaez vs donaire.

 

As already mentioned, he lost his belt when he couldn't defend against Konecny. He's been mentioned in connection to guys like Lara but nothing's obviously ever materialized. Heard Shaw and Pelullo were considering suing HBO for not having him back on after the ridiculous deal they made with him.

 

Well, he did get his azz kicked 1 time on hbo.

That azz kicking by Martinez really set him back.

 

It didnt for Kirkland when he got ktfo by ishida.

 

Probably not quite the same. Kirkland fought 2 more times, then was sent down as a sacrificial lamb to Mexico for his next hbo fight.

Instead of crying about hbo, Dzinziruk and Shaw just need to worry about getting his azz back in the ring.

 

Honestly, I don't give a flying **** about "heart" when skill's lacking. A veteran with almost 40 fights and zero losses who gets ****ing humiliated against the legitimate MW champ in a ridiculously uncompetitive affair is simply a phony in my book. Dzin was exposed as an overprotected, record-padded German-bum (he ain't native, lives in Germany though) who accepted the payday because he's old and not far from retirement anyway.

Can't wait to see frauds like Sturm, Huck, Stieglitz and so on get their ass kicked.
