:huh Haven't heard a word about him lately. Last I heard he took a few months off & was gonna start training again. Who should Main Events target for him?
I heard what Dembek heard. Not to make this about Eddie, but he was slated to fight Guillemo Jones for the WBA CW title in August. Somehow that fight got backed off, then the Mchuna bout was back on. Now, Eddie is considering the Adamek rematch. Obviously the fight would be different considering how close it was with his arm hanging by his side, but I don't see how it propels him towards his goal of becoming a titlist. As for Adamek and his future......he really needs to focus on winning fights in the WBA rankings so he can get that fight for the vacated WBA kiddie title Potvetkin is going to give back when Wlad KHTFO.
He's making at least twice what he would make as a Cruiser. At this point in his career, money will be a factor in any decision he makes.
He's an old LHW fighting at heavy. That's what's up with him. He's got balls, and I hope he's making some money. Honestly I think it shows the poor state of the division that he's considered one if the better fighters.
@ Sandman........Michael Spinks was a LHW and he won the HW title. His brother Leon was no better than Owen Beck and he won the HW title too. Holyfield was a CW and won the HW title. Byrd a LHW. Gosh how aweful a state the division was in back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. See how I did that. As for Tomasz....he's a CW, not a LHW. Men fill out in their late 20s early 30s. We're still growing and adding muscle until then. Adamek would have to cut muscle to make 175 and we all saw how well a 90s CHAMP named Byrd dealt with the weight loss.
