The Russian is taking some heavy punishment sometimes. Great work by Usyk. Easy going for the 'Future of the cruiserweight' 40-36
The one thing I'm a bit worried about Usyk is that his amateur style could cause him problems (in terms of stamina) over longer distances, of course he can iron this out and learn to pace himself over time.
Part of me thinks that's why he's not trying to get guys out early. I think a lot of good former amateurs are rying to learn that on the fly as they get fast tracked (Inoue Vs Sano, Tanaka Vs Hara, Khytrov in one or two of his bouts). Might as well know your own stamina before you're forced to dig deep.
Yup, said that since day one, no one wanted to hear it though lol Too much jumping around, too much 'fencing', and for a lack of a better word, too cutesy. At this point in their careers, Huck absolutely mauls Usyk. However I do think he's too talented and too skilled not to iron it out eventually. They need to bring him up right though, don't feed him cans and then put in him with the top guys, go step by step with him, let him learn the pro ranks first.
