Mostly it's just cutting water weight. I'm 173 and I can make 165 just by sweating it out, Sauna works well, also I know it's a bit gay but tanning really sweats it all out of me. Some guys go as far as not eating a few days before hand. Cutting 8lbs. isn't so hard though, some guys cut over 15, so they'll know about the more extreme methods.

There is no need for a report on the topic.

I know that a litre of water weighs 2lbs, so going for a slash is a decent start!

Dehydrating all the fluids and solid foods on the boxer. Yet over dehydrating could cause extreme problems.

A boxer needs to be used on loosing a lot of pounds and gaining back his lost pounds in a day.

over time athletes such as boxers and wrestlers become used to cutting lots of weight in short amounts of time that seem extreme to non-athletes. sauna helps a lot. also dressing in sweats and a skully and just riding a stationary bike or running for a while can cut some pounds quick.

Its almost all water weight if its within 24hrs. But To be honest a few times i have been caught short for a weigh in, and I have dropped up to 4 lbs in less than an hour by drinking a whole bottle of the "green death". (Mag Citrate) It is a very rough way to go however. For losing water weight only, a Steam bath is better than a suana. Both can make you very weak if you don't have a full day to rehydrate, eat and rest. Making weight is struggle all the way around, long term or short. A couple I things I learned doing it over the years.

Always while training drink tons of water. Your body gets used to having it, and you **** and sweat freely. At a certain point it can't hold anymore (unlike fat). Even when you cut your intake the last 24 hours, your body will still let it go for awhile because it thinks its going to get it back. Drink Distilled if you can, it seems to go right through me. Though I heard that wasn't good to do for long term as it sucks all the vitimans out of you also.

Stay away from red meat. I have heard all the stories, but I can tell you from my own hard learned experience, red meat (no matter how lean) will put, and keep wgt on you. Even if you eat the same amount of chicken or fish? Doesn't make sense but its true?

Never drink any type of soda, (even diet) fruit juice, powerade, gatorade, etc. They all seem to hold weight, maybe its the sodium/sugar? Drink water only.

Stay away from dairy, all types, especially milk.

Of course no junk, fried fast foods, high fat or High crab crap, etc.

Plus the popular thing nowadays is to eat small meals all day. 6?

I could never lose weight on that schedule, 3 reasonable meals always worked better for me, even when the amounts are same? I always thought your body burns weight better if you give it some time between meals. I know that this goes agaisnt everything the docs say? However i know what works, at least for me. I used to fight at 139. However it was nothing for me to be close to 160 bewteen fights, and I was still training hard almost every day. I could go from 160 to 139 easily in two weeks. It was much easier when I was below 150. Which I tried to stay at after I kinda figured out what worked for me.

  12. They don't eat period..
And spend insane amounts of time in the Sauna, which is very dangerous to their health, im for weigh ins on the Morning, the day of the fight..
