Yeah I think that it was the overall experience that made it a bad night for Kessler.
    -A hostile crowd
-The ward camp that had 2 judges from USA and a local judge at first but then gave in and made it right yet it gave Kessler bad mojo
-A referee that warned Kessler but failed to say much to Ward so he got frustrated
-Cuts are always a problem for boxers and having 3 of them is very tough doing anything with
-Plus he fought a very skillful boxer that has a style that isn't suited for him

I think it was a mixture of all of those that made it a bad night. He has proven himself in a hostile environment in Australia where he fought Mundine and he won that fight pretty clearly

I think people will appreciate their skill and if they have very good media skills then fans can look past their low KO records, similar to what Mayweather does.

1 thing i cant stand in sport is early assumptions, sure ward was great against kessler, but he has to dominate his next 2 fights as well to prove he is the favourite

Who would you currently have ahead of him as favourite?

Ward is a talented fighter and kinda reminds me of Hopkins. He has a high ring IQ and can out think most of his opponents. He can box but he doesn't mind getting inside and doing the dirty work. As much of a Froch fan as I am Ward would beat him and everyone else in the tourney. The man is the best at 168 IMO and a top 10 P4P talent.

I'm pretty much sold on Ward. I think he is extremely talented, and I'd back him to beat Froch and Abraham with the same ease he dealt with Kessler. He's a better fighter than Green too, for sure. The only one who could beat him would be Dirrell IMO, but I prefer Ward. He seems to have a steel and strength that Dirrell doesn't have to the same degree.

To me, the tourney comes down to Froch vs. Ward. No matter if it happens in the semi's or finals, these are clearly the most complete fighters in the tourney.

Also, Ward is the type of guy Americans want to root for. His appearance and Olympic background enhance his prospects of becoming a star.

If he gets AA, in Germany, I do not see him as the champion.

IF he continues to only fight in the US, then he will of course win.

Most people in Oz were going for Kessler against Mundine............ Mundine is public enemy no 1 down there.

I was actually at the fight in Sydney, and 99.99% cheered for Mundine. But you are right that amongst the general public Mundine also has some hater is Oz. Just the ones that pay to come to his fights are very much Mundine fans.

Headbutt and elbow specialist who obviously suffers from some form of homesickness. Boring fighter and let's hope he wins **** all for the sake of the sport!
