So some of Wlad's opposition like Sanders and Byrd could have been tough for him. We all know how it plays out on paper but in real life it can be different.

Just look what happend when Oscar De La Hoya, who never beat a single south paw in his pro career, eventually fought Pacquiao.

Lots of guys refused to fight Sanders, that much is known... High risk, low reward type of fight.

Corrie Sanders would have knocked Lennox the **** out, worse than Rahman did. Lennox ducked him for a reason, just like many other so called champs did. only the Klitschkos had the ballz to take him on

Rahman and Nate Tubbs didn't duck Sanders. In fact, they both ko'd Sanders before he fought Klitschko. Now Sanders is some sort of boogeyman. smh

Lennox Lewis did fight a southpaw, Greg Gorell and KO'ed him in 5 rounds. But I fully expect this to be ignored as it has every time I have mentioned it as doesn't fit the opinion you want to promote.

Tbh Gorell was a fat tub of **** bum(33-17-3) who couldn't box and he fought orthodox for much of that fight.

He's still a southpaw though which makes the whole "Lewis never fought a southpaw" a load of cr.ap.

Fact is there was only ever really one highly regarded southpaw during Lewis' time and that was Moorer.

Byrd was seen as a boring fighter, who was undersized, who nobody rated and was no match for Lewis. Sanders was a fringe contender at best and blew any chance of a shot by being KO'ed by an overweight Rahman.

Same for Byrd.....high risk low reward. NTM, he was able to win the tough fights vs other titlists.

Yeah, I think Lewis wouldve beat Byrd similarly to Vitali(yeah, I know, RTD) and Wlad wide UD/TKO. But Byrd was a great CPer, and his power was underrated and Lewis was highly susceptible to being overconfident if he didnt respect his opponent.

Lewis would have beaten Byrd. Byrd wouldn't have the power to hurt Lewis, and he would have been too small.

Lewis would have had a 5 inch height advantage, and a 10 inch reach advantage.

    :deal

i dont think lewis would of had a problem with saunders, i think he would ko'd him out a few rounds.

He may have a few problems with byrd but i think he'd get the decision.

Sanders and Byrd would have given him a lot more trouble than some of his challengers did like Grant and Botha. The Sanders Rahman fight before Rahman KTFO'd the Lion was a close up and down affair, and too early a stoppage imo. Could have been Sanders doing what he did to young Wlad on the Lion.

I think Lewis would have won a UD over Byrd, or a late stoppage.

when exactly did Lewis duck Sanders and which other champions ducked him?

i don't ever remember there ever being any serious talks between Sanders or Lewis for a fight.
