Let's take Bradley for example. He fought 3 times in 2009 for showtime. Moves over to HBO in 2010 & only has ONE fight. They sign Chad Dawson. We all remember how he was a regular on showtime. How many fights has he had on HBO? Can HBO not keep their guys active?

Yeah the more active these guys are, the more impressive they look in the ring to give the audience a better performance. Also, how can a network expect to create stars when their guys don't fight often? I guess they expect Lampley's influence on the audience to be enough

This is cause they have to make more room for GBP dates. Should be better next year if they dont create another rediculous deal again. Look how active Ortiz was and he's been sticking up the joint.

These HBO guys are so rusty we got to wait like 4 rounds for these guys to get warmed up & get into their rhythm.

Just wait until you see Bradley-Alexander. Devon atleast fought twice this year, but im hoping it doesn't take too long for the fight to heat up

i think thats just by design.. you start to reach the upper echelon of the sport, suddenly you start to fight a little less often.

Remember when Hulk Hogan used to only fight in PPVs, only a few times a year.
Maybe HBO thinks that the less that thier fighters fight, the more an event it becomes.
The biggest losers are the boxing fans.

I know what your saying, but Hogan had to grind & make a name for himself first. You can't make a name for yourself when your not fighting:lol:

I couldn't agree more, it seems they would stay sharper with shorter layoffs between fights. The lull in the action this summer was an example of the inactivity. Except for FNF and a FMJ/SM ppv there wasn't much televised for months, I remember thinking if these guys fought 2-3 times a year there would be far fewer droughts throughout. I'm sure there's more to it, such as the promoting & money, but it would be nice for the fans if HBO could keep their fighters a little busier like a Marco Huck. At least they ended the year stronger w/ match ups like PWill/Mart 2, Marq/Kat and Khan/Maidana, those fights were awesome.
