Anyone notice how Showtime was trying to Legitimize Tarver's IBO Belt?

    Probably cause they never mandate a defense, and maybe the fee is hugely discounted for him.

    I distinctly heard bernstein say something along the lines of, "this fight is for tarver's IBO title, obviously not the most important belt out there, but a great accomplishment for lateef kayode if he were to win it against tarver," so how is showtime, the entity of showtime, trying to legitimize it, when even their commentator makes it's lesser significance clear on national television?

    Not much point Wlad vacating his IBO. Has he ever had to fight a mandatory for it? I don't think so, or maybe he would vacate

    By underestimating a cab driver during a 'defense' of it? It can be milked like no other because there are no mandated defenses.
