I was shocked, he was actuially moving his head!!! Whenever he was getting into judahs range he would use a little head movement, good to see, Not his normal stiff self (Wlad 2.0 on turbo) Also like how he stayed off the ropes and kept the centre of the ring, All in all great by khan, come on alot since the Maidana fight, hopefully its consistent.
Tbf he was hardly pressured so there wasn't any reason for him to get near ropes. I liked the head movement and more thoughtful footwork.
Massive improvement in head movement, footwork and he's using his jab properly again for the first time since the Malignaggi fight. Loved it in the 2nd or 3rd round where instead of coming in as Judah wanted him to, he back peddled and got back into jabbing range. Ring IQ is coming along finally.
I think the problem with Khan is he was too tense, tight, eager to impress stiff, Last night he seem more relaxed, more lose, less tense, more natural. Hopefully he can keep improving in this area.
i like the way when judah tried to get in range to throw he threw his head foward in a butting motion
What do you consider head movement? The Tyson/Pacquiao bobbing & weaving side to side. Or the Mayweather forward and backwards? Hasn’t he shown head movement since Salita at least?
It's hard to be critical of Khan....unless you are my favourite fighter:roll: "He's not ready for the 'Storm,'" Bradley said after the fight, referring to his nickname "Desert Storm. "I'm not impressed," Bradley continued. The twat should be glad they mention his name last night!
I certainly did. I thought the head movement is the most I have seen from him. The footwork was a lot better but can still improve a lot. And yes, being relaxed makes him a much better fighter. I also noticed that they have been working a little on getting in body shots when in the inside. Usually he would have just held and waited for the ref to separate them, but now he can get a few shots in the inside. I thought Khan had become stagnant but now it seems he is improving again.
Yeah, Khan did a few things which were good to see. I liked the way he would re-set himself when he knew there weren't any openings. Previously he'd lunge in with rapid flurries, but this time, he would step back and remain patient. He looks much better when decides to box at a calm, slow pace. Too bad we won't get to see him fight Bradley next.
